About Idle Robot
A tiny studio, a big soft spot
Idle Robot is a small independent games and apps studio in Estonia. We make cozy, playful things for children and the grown-ups who play alongside them.
How it started
It started with a five-year-old who wanted a pet. Not a real one (not yet), but a soft, silly one that lived on the phone, needed a bath now and then and was always happy to see him.
So his dad started building one. Every evening the newest version got a serious test: Does it giggle? Can I give it a hat? Why can’t it go fishing? Little by little, that pet grew a garden, a lake, a kitchen, a playground and a Study Room. It became Mimimi, and Idle Robot became the name for what we do together.
The robot in our logo is lying back with its hands behind its head for a reason. We think the best games give you room to breathe: to potter about, to try things, to get it wrong and laugh. That’s the feeling we’re after in everything we make.

Calm play
No timers, no streaks to protect, no fail screens. Our games are somewhere to slow down, not speed up.

Every idea is tested with real children. If it is confusing, scary or boring, it goes back to the drawing board.

No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no tracking. What happens in the game stays on your device.

Made with care
Soft colours, gentle sounds, big buttons and wordless play, so the youngest players can join in on their own.

Small on purpose
We make a few things and finish them properly. One honest unlock, never a price in front of a child.

Local and global
Made in Estonia, in English and Estonian, with Finnish next. Small languages deserve good games too.
